This policy explains what personal data VibeBoot ("we", "us"), the individual who runs this website, collects, how it is used, and your choices. We collect as little as possible.

What this website collects

This is a static website. It has no user accounts, no analytics or tracking scripts, no advertising, and no forms that send data to us. We do not collect personal data through the site itself.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process basic request data, such as IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Purchases (Gumroad)

Purchases are handled by Gumroad as the merchant of record. Your card and payment details go to Gumroad and its payment processors and are never shared with us. Gumroad provides us with the information a seller normally receives, such as your name, email address, country and what you bought, which we use to deliver the product, process refunds, prevent refund abuse and provide support. Newsletter (beehiiv)

If you subscribe to the newsletter, you sign up on beehiiv, which stores your email address and sends the emails. beehiiv may record whether emails are opened and links clicked. We use this only to run the newsletter. You can unsubscribe any time using the link in every email. See beehiiv's privacy policy.

Email

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include, and use it to reply and help you.

Cookies

This website does not set its own cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from abuse. Gumroad and beehiiv set their own cookies on their own pages, governed by their policies.

How we use and share data

• We use personal data only to deliver products, handle refunds and support, send the newsletter you asked for, and keep the site secure.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• We share data only with the service providers above, which process it to provide their services, or when required by law or to protect our rights.

Data retention

We keep purchase records for as long as needed to provide support, honor licenses, handle refunds and meet tax and legal obligations. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you and then deleted when no longer needed. Cloudflare, Gumroad and beehiiv retain data according to their own policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• correct inaccurate data;
• delete your data;
• object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent (such as unsubscribing from the newsletter); and
• not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We extend these rights to everyone, wherever you live. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity, and we'll respond within the time required by law. Some records may need to be kept for legal or tax reasons. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Where GDPR applies, we process data to perform our contract with you (delivering purchases and support), with your consent (the newsletter), and for our legitimate interests (site security and preventing abuse).

International transfers

VibeBoot is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the US and other countries. If you are outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from yours. Our providers use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

Security

We rely on established providers to store and process data and take reasonable steps to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

This website and our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. See also our Terms of Service.
